About CardPro International

The Company became involved with Astar International's 38edge I/C Memory Cards, as a consultant in 1983. A major UK 38edge Card application in Automotive Diagnostic Equipment came to fruition in 1987, resulting in the formation of a dedicated I/C Memory Card Technology Company to manage the project. Involvement in the application of Japanese Jeida Cards in 1990 provided valuable field experience before the introduction of the USA PCMCIA Card Standard in 1991.

The Company operated under different guises until being renamed Card Professionals Limited in 1995. The trading name CardProTM International was adopted in 1997 and the product brand name CardProTM 2000 was introduced at the commencement of the new millennium. Key staff have remained with the Company throughout and the 100% dedication to I/C Card Technology has been maintained from 1987 to this day.

Card Professionals Ltd owns the patent rights to the MIPS 38edge Card and Connector design and has manufacturing facilities for 38edge Cards, Card Adaptors, PCMCIA SRAM Recharge Cards and Charger Units. Technical facilities include programmers and diagnostic equipment for I/C Memory Devices, 38edge Cards and PCMCIA PC Cards. Ultrasonic Welding Equipment for PCMCIA Card housings and Printing Equipment for Custom Labels.

The Company prides itself in its extensive knowledge of I/C Card Technology and its ability to provide unmatched technical support to its customers, benefiting from nearly three decades of involvement in the industry.

The Company achieved ISO 9002 registration in 1997and is now ISO 9001-2008 registered.

CardProTM International continues to serve a global customer base with PCMCIA and 38edge I/C Cards and equipment for use in legacy applications.
