The Company first became involved in I/C Memory Card Technology in 1983 with the introduction of Japanese MIPS 38edge Cards to the Company's product and services portfolio. A major application in automotive diagnostic equipment came to fruition in 1987 that justified the formation of a dedicated Memory Card Technology Company.
The introduction of Japanese made Jeida Standard Cards to the Company's product portfolio occurred in 1990. This was followed by the introduction of USA made Cards when the Jeida Standard was adopted by the American PCMCIA organisation in 1991.
The Company twice merged and separated from other organisations and reclaimed its wholly owned individual status under the name Card Professionals Ltd in 1995. Key Staff originally involved in the Company have been retained throughout and the absolute dedication to I/C Card Technology has been maintained from 1987 to this day.
Card Professionals Ltd acquired the CardProTM Registered Trademark and PCMCIA Card Reader/Writer design rights from Data I/O USA and the Company adopted the trading name CardProTM International in 1997. The brand name of all products was changed to CardProTM 2000 at the commencement of the New Millennium.
CardProTM International purchased the worldwide Patent rights to the MIPS 38edge Card design in 1998 and has in-house manufacturing facilities for 38edge Cards, Card Adaptors, and Charger Units for SRAM PC Cards that have rechargeable data backup batteries.
In house Technical Facilities include Programmers and Diagnostic Equipment for I/C Memory Devices, 38edge cards and PC Cards and also Printing Equipment for Custom Labels.
The Company prides itself in its in depth knowledge of I/C Card Technology and its ability to provide unmatched technical support to its customers, benefiting from 25 years involvement in the industry. The Company achieved ISO 9002 registration in 1997 and is now ISO9001- 2000 registered.
